36 Hour Film Race
Making a Film in just 36 hours - You've got to be kidding!
No, we are not kidding! The CineSol 36 Hour Film Competition comes to life at an appointed midnight in August, 2008! This will be our third year to host the competition.
CineSol 36 Hour Competition is a great opportunity to unite the South Texas and Mexico Border film community by engaging them in some fun and friendly rivalry. Having only 36 hours to complete a digital film will make it a true assessment of talent, ingenuity, resourcefulness, creativity and poise under pressure. There are teams in different categories, grouped so that teams will be competing with their peers. All teams will be given the same instructions--to create a 10-minute or under film on a given theme, using a given prop or dialogue and possibly including a “secret location”. The teams will all interpret the same theme, but the films are sure to exhibit an interesting range in interpretation and technique. All films will be shown. For more information, send email to Lupita (Lupita@cinesol.com) or Henry (henry@cinesol.com).
